How to Order from eBay to Iraq

eBay US or eBay UK: two warehouses, two timelines

eBay began in 1995 as AuctionWeb in San Jose, California, and it is still a marketplace of independent sellers: some sell at a fixed “Buy It Now” price, others run auctions. Kreenex covers eBay in the USA and in the UK, each with its own warehouse and free address.

When the same item is listed on both sites, the US listing is the shorter wait:

• eBay US (ebay.com) — sent to your free address in Nashville or Bear, processed within 48–72 hours, then 20–25 days to Iraq by air.
• eBay UK (ebay.co.uk) — sent to your free London address, processed within 48–72 hours, then 25–35 days to Iraq by air freight.

Check the item location before you buy

On eBay, every listing sets its own item location and postage options. A listing on ebay.com isn't always in the USA, and one on ebay.co.uk isn't always in Britain — the seller may be posting from another country.

Look for an item location in the USA for your US address, or in the UK for your London address. Then the seller's delivery to us is a domestic one. A seller abroad would first have to post the item internationally to our warehouse — which adds time, if that postage is offered at all — before our 20–25 or 25–35 days even begin.

Buy For Me or Ship Only on eBay

With Buy For Me, send us the listing link in the Kreenex app and we buy the item for you — no eBay account, foreign card or foreign phone number needed. “Buy It Now” listings are the simplest to send, because the price is fixed and you see your exact rate in the app before you confirm.

Auctions work differently, since the price isn't settled until bidding ends. If you bid yourself, use Ship Only: enter your free Kreenex address in the USA or London as the delivery address when you pay.

Buying from several sellers is normal on eBay. Each one sends its parcel to your Kreenex address, and we combine everything that reaches the same warehouse into one shipment to Iraq.

What can travel from eBay to Iraq

eBay listings cover so many kinds of item that it pays to check these rules before you bid or buy. Both eBay warehouses ship to Iraq by air, so the air-freight rules apply:

• Devices with a built-in battery are usually fine. Loose lithium batteries and power banks are not — ask us first.
• Perfume, aerosols and flammable liquids — nail polish, hairspray and solvents included — are restricted on air freight.
• Knives, weapons and ammunition can't be shipped, replicas and airsoft included — nor can gold, jewellery or cash, which we can't insure.
• Counterfeit and copied brands are seized by customs and the parcel is lost.
• Also never shippable: explosives, fireworks and lighters; drugs including CBD; alcohol, tobacco and vapes; live animals, plants and seeds. Medicines and supplements need checking first.
